Psalms 84:3
Even the Sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young- A place near your Alter, LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
We seek to provide a resting place in Him, where fear, insecurity, and shame have no hold.
The Sparrow’s Table was created with the hope of offering more than food, with hopes to become a place where individuals and families can experience safety, dignity, and belonging. Just as the sparrow finds a home near the altar of the Lord, we believe every person deserves a place where they are seen, cared for, and welcomed without judgment.
Through practical support and compassionate service, we strive to give back to those who are vulnerable, weary, and in need of rest.
Sparrow’s Table Ministries began with just one table and one car. On Saturday mornings, we transported food and did our best to serve 10–15 people whenever possible.
Today, by God’s grace and the support of our community, we have the opportunity to serve over 45 families. This work is now made possible through five vehicles, more than ten tables, and dedicated volunteers who faithfully show up to serve.
We currently use a 7.0 cu. ft. freezer and a 10–14 cu. ft. freezer to store rescued food and leftovers, allowing us to provide additional support to families when resources are available.
What began as a small act of obedience has grown into a community-supported ministry. As our volunteer base continues to grow, so does our ability—and our desire—to support families facing food insecurity with dignity, compassion, and hope.
