The Sparrow’s Table is a community-based, faith-rooted non-profit that supports individuals and families facing food insecurity through food rescue, distribution, and practical care. You can find out more information on our story page on our website.

We serve individuals and families in our local community who are experiencing food insecurity or temporary hardship. No one is turned away based on background, circumstance, religion or ability to give. 

We currently operate in and around Airdrie, Alberta, with plans to find a permant location soon, we hope to expand further as our resources and partnerships grow.

At this time, The Sparrow’s Table is a registered non-profit organization but is not yet a registered charity, and therefore we are unable to issue charitable tax receipts. We will update our website once charitable status is granted through the Charities Directorate of Canada.

Donations allow us to meet immediate needs in our community. Every contribution directly supports families and helps sustain and grow our programs while we work toward charitable status.

Donations are considered final and non-refundable, as funds are typically used immediately to support ongoing needs.

Yes! We welcome most kinds of donations. Please contact us first to learn about current needs and approved items for donation.

You can sign up to volunteer through our website or by contacting us directly. Opportunities include food distribution, transportation, setup and cleanup, and administrative support, and childcare.

No prior experience is required. We provide guidance and work together as a team.

In many cases, yes! We aim to create a family-friendly environment, especially during distribution days. Please reach out to discuss appropriate roles.

Occasionally, photos or videos may be taken to share our mission and impact. We make every effort to avoid identifying individuals without consent, and anyone may opt out at any time.

Yes. The Sparrow’s Table is incorporated as a registered non-profit organization in Alberta under the Corporate Non-Profit Act.

While we are newly incorporated, our leadership and volunteers bring many years of experience running this program and serving families in the community.
